Stephanie Rae Shaw died on February 7, 2021 at the Canonsburg Hospital. She went to a place where there is no more pain. She spent the last two and half years living at the Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing in Canonsburg. Stephanie was born on February 21, 1970 in Washington, the daughter of Reed and Karen Kerns Shaw, of Prosperity. Stephanie graduated from McGuffey High School in 1988. While in school she was an active member of the McGuffey Marching Band. One of her favorite things to do was watching Law & Order SVU and Steelers football games on Sunday with her parents. She also loved to play BINGO while she was at the Greenery. After graduation she worked in various places, Donut Connection, Wendy’s, Industrial Gasket & Shims and Bosch. Surviving is her lovely daughter, Ashley Tripp (Harley) and two grandchildren, Luke Henry and Skylar Marie of Maysville, North Carolina, (to them she was GIGI); a sister, Stacy Lynn Shaw; a niece Maggie Jean Marie Shaw; and a great niece, Sophia Lynn Hercules, all of Washington; and an uncle, Richard Emerson Kerns, of Melbourne, Florida. Stephanie’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Greenery Rehab and Nursing facility, the ER, the ICU and the 2nd West Floor of the Canonsburg Hospital for the care that they gave her. They would also like to thank AHN Healthcare at Home, Hospice Care, for their support and care, especially Kayla and Denise. There will be no public visitation or services. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington PA 15301. Burial will be at the Enon Cemetery at a later date.
