Shirley E. Bauer, 84, of Washington, died Friday, June 1, 2018, in the Grove of Washington. She was born April 14, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of the late Frank L. and Elizabeth Crupe Byers. Mrs. Bauer attended Claysville Schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Mrs. Bauer was a member of Washington Alliance Church. On January 3, 1950, she married James Regis Bauer, Sr., who died July 6, 2016. Surviving are a son, James R. (Robin) Bauer, Jr., of Claysville; two daughters, Freddie (Dave) Lloyd of Stockbridge, Michigan, and Bonnie (Bob) Dicks of Washington; eight grandchildren, David (Jeanie) Lloyd, Kim (Jeremy) Killinger, Rhonda (Kevin) Cathers, Joshua (Dana) Rush, Jeremy (Jennifer) Rush, Jaime (Jason) Anderson, Rick (Kerri) Bauer, and Janelle (Mike) Belvin; and 25 great-grandchildren, Deceased is a grandson, Frank Lloyd, and a brother, James (Dorothy) Byers. Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 5th, in Washington Alliance Church, 246 Sanitarium Road, Washington, with Rev. C.D. Croscutt officiating.
