Shirley Ruth Alberta

Shirley Ruth Alberta, 82, of Washington, died on November 23, 2023, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born on April 19, 1941, in Washington, a daughter of the late Edgar Bennett and Helen Marie Rhodoback Agnew. Shirley attended the Trinity School district and was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Mrs. Alberta enjoyed cowboy movies and Hallmark movies, cooking, and she especially loved having family and friends over to her home. On October 20, 1960, she married the love of her life, Angelo Joseph Alberta, who died on March 19, 2018. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth J. (Debra) Alberta, of Washington and Mark D. (Deb) Alberta, of Washington; a sister, Florence Ramsey, of Belpre, OH; and two grandchildren, Shelby Marie Alberta, and Brayden Alberta. Deceased is a brother, Edgar B. Agnew, Jr. All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
