Sandra Kay “Sandy” Conklin, 66, of Washington, died on January 15, 2022, in the Washington Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1955, in Washington, a daughter of the late Willis Guy and Edna Mae Pettit Conklin. Sandy was a graduate of Washington High School. Surviving are a daughter, Susan V. Allen, of Washington; a brother, Herbert “Skip” Hawkins, of Ashtabula, OH; four sisters, Nancy (the late Ronald “Puff”) Carter, of Houston, Bonnie (Don) Neely, of Claysville, Grace Hawkins, of Canonsburg, and Wilma (Arnold) Schulte, of Ashtabula, OH; five grandchildren, Dylan Guy (Teresa) Parkinson, Ethan and Evan Parkinson, Abygaile Maye Parkinson, and Willis Lee Parkinson; two great granddaughters, Ariah and Arabella Parkinson; twenty nieces and nephews; her longtime companion, Howard Bowman; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Sue Hawkins. Deceased are four brothers, Harold “Butch” Hawkins, Joseph Hawkins, who died in infancy, Michael Hawkins, and Charles Hawkins. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
