Sandra "Sandie" Woods Lasalvia

Sandra “Sandie” Woods LaSalvia, 68, of Washington, died October 1, 2022, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Sandie was born on May 23, 1954, in Washington, a daughter of the late Lillian Stenger Woods (Harold) Hull and William Woods. A 1972 graduate of Trinity High School, Sandie went on to attend Greene County Vocational School of Nursing. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Allegheny General Hospital, Washington Hospital, Donnell House, Presbyterian Senior Care, Strabane Woods, and other medical facilities in the Washington and Pittsburgh areas. Sandie was a two-time cancer survivor. She loved going on vacation with ”the girls,” and dinners with friends, but she especially loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and family. On June 26, 1976, she married Carmon LaSalvia, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Adele (Mike) Barton, of Washington and Sara (Richard Jr.) Kirkwood, of Houston; two grandchildren, Tein and Allegra Barton; three sisters, Dianne Hughes, Alyce Harter and Lillian Hull; two brothers, Jerry Woods and Fred Woods; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, William Woods and John Woods; two sisters, Shirley Mathot and Nancy Christman; one niece and one nephew. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
