Sandra Mize, 81, of Washington, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, in the Donnell House, Washington. She married Clyde Mize, who survives. Sandra was a graduate of Canon-McMillan’s first graduation class in 1960. She worked for 30 and a half years for DBT, Bucyrus and then Caterpillar. She retired in October 2012 as a senior buyer. Sandra liked to read, travel and had devoted most of her time to her family and grandchildren. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. She was active in the Washington County Republican party and was a member of the Martha Washington Garden Club. Surviving are her daughter, Kelley Allen of Washington; her son, Anthony Dellorso of Henderson, Nevada; her sister, Linda Lingrey of Memphis, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Great Britain. Deceased are her mother, Joan Mason; her brother, John “Bull” Polasky; her son-in-law, Paull Allen; her stepdaughter, Pamela Bocchino; and her stepfathers, Walter Polasky and Albert Mason. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Living Waters Church of God, 965 Weirich Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Mike Singo officiating.
