Ruth Seifert Perko, 86, of Washington, died Friday, April 29, 2022, in the Washington Hospital. She was born August 23, 1935, in Coraopolis, a daughter of the late Conrad John Seifert and Kathryn Inches Seifert. Mrs. Perko worked at Supreme Dairy and the West Allegheny School District, from where she retired. While employed with the school district, she served as president of the union. Mrs. Perko enjoyed reading and gardening. On July 24, 1954, she married Raymond Edward Perko, who died September 24, 2018. Surviving are a son, John Michael Perko of Imperial; three daughters, Frances (Ron) Henderson of Claysville, Rebecca (Dick) Laxton of Grant Town, West Virginia, and Lee Ann (Harry) Perko of Imperial; two sisters, Linda (the late Howard) Orth of Imperial and Connie (Bill) Andresky of Cranberry; a brother, John (Sally) Seifert of Meadville; five grandchildren, Steve (Julie) Chabala, Ryan (Michelle) Chabala, Ben Kovach, Megan Kovach Webb, and Jamie Laxton; seven great-grandchildren, Lillian, Violet, Madison, Elizabeth, Aiden, Andrew, and Ethan Chabala. A graveside service in Washington Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
