Ruth Mae Gent

Ruth Mae McAdams Hull Gent, 85, of Washington, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 1, 2018 in Wellington, Florida following a short illness. She was born, August 23, 1932 in Washington, the daughter of the late Ralph McAdams and Florence Post McAdams. Ruth was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. She loved lighthouses, traveling and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and glowing smile. On January 26, 1950, she married Wilbert I. Hull, who died January 8, 2009. On November 12, 2016, she married Edward “Sonny” Gent Sr., who survives. Also surviving are a daughter Judy A. (Charles) Miller of Centerville; a son, Mark L. (Mary Ann) Hull of Washington; a brother, William G. “Whitey” McAdams; a granddaughter, Heather S. (Kevin) White of Sharpsville; four great grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Caitlyn and Owen White; and many special nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Lester, John and Glenn McAdams; a sister Eleanor Phillips Longsdorf. Friends will be received Monday, May 7, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will follow at Woodruff Memorial Park.
