Rudolph "Rudy" Keron

Rudolph Michael “Rudy” Keron, 77, of Washington, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, in Premier Washington Health Center. He was born April 29, 1940, in Washington, a son of the late Andrew and Lucy Malik Keron. Mr. Keron graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Jessop Steel for 33 years, retiring as a crane operator.  In addition, he was a photographer and owned a pizza shop. Mr. Keron enjoyed photography and karaoke and loved cars.  He especially enjoyed woodworking and working with his hands, even building his own house. Mr. Keron was a member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. He was Catholic by faith. On February 14, 1987, he married Judy D. Sumney, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Rudolph P. Keron of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Carmel (Tim) Tuttle of Franklin, Tennessee, Andrea (Martin) McNeil of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Lori (Michael) Muhr of Avella; six grandchildren, Riley and Karina Tuttle, Tyler, Caleb and Jessica McNeil and Cassandra Muhr; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are siblings, Joe, John “Shoes,” Steve “Hambone,” Robert “Row Boat,” Andy and Anna Keron, Mary Slavikosky, Margaret Williams, Mildred Strnisha, and Josephine Roupe. There will be no public visitation or service.  Burial will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, with military rites accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
