Roy Lee Welling

Roy Lee Welling, 50, of West Finley, passed away December 6, 2022, in his home. He was born May 31, 1972, the son of Carroll L. Welling and the late Elizabeth A. Welling. Roy attended McGuffey High School and was a union truck driver on the pipeline, a member of the Teamster Union 585. He was a volunteer firefighter for West Finley, serving his community for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. Roy is survived by his children, Kayla Tuttle (Junior), of Washington, Faith E. Welling (Adam Straight), Andrew C. Welling (Ike Sanney), and Dylan M. Welling (Dom), all of West Finley; siblings, Steve Smith (Cindy), of Washington, Lynn Roupe (Pete), of West Finley, Charlie Welling, of West Finley, Pearl Livingood (David), of Claysville, and Sandy Brum, Susan Smith , and Connie Smith, Christina Fisher (James), and Carl Welling, all of Ohio; grandchildren, Daisy Tuttle, Ali Straight, Gavin Tuttle, Hannah Straight, and Addilynn Straight; many nieces and nephews, and former spouse, Jennifer Welling, of West Finley. Family and friends will be received Monday, December 12, 2022, from 1pm-5pm, with a service at 5pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with George Crawford officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
