Rose Marie Rock, 97, of Washington, died May 22, 2024, in The Washington Hospital, with her family by her side . She was born May 11, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of the late Santos Cava and Aqualina Broccoli Cava. Mrs. Rock graduated from Washington High School. She was a homemaker, but most importantly, she was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was adored by her family. Mrs. Rock enjoyed baking, sewing, cooking, and gathering with friends and family. She also loved Pittsburgh sports team, especially the Penguins. Mrs. Rock was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church. On August 2, 1952, she married Andrew Rock, who died December 4, 2006. Surviving are a son, Mark Rock; a daughter, Rebecca Los (Mark); two grandchildren, Anthony Bock (Melissa) and Angela Bock; and four great-grandchildren, Kylee, Mia, Penelope, and Olivia. Deceased are brothers, Paul, Frank, Eugene, and Albert Cava; and sisters, Victoria Phillips and Mary Pearson. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 28th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 29th, with Deacon Barry Krofcheck officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
