Ronald J. Pritts

Ronald J. “Bozie” Pritts, 70, of Washington, died May 31, 2023, in his home. He was born October 20, 1952, in Connellsville, the son of the late Merle and Frances Gillott Pritts. A graduate of Chartiers Houston High School, he was employed by Ball Glass for 20 years. On July 28, 1973, Ronald married Dorothy J. Kapis, who died July 12, 2001. Ronald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bird watching. He also loved watching his grandchildren play soccer. Surviving is a daughter, Melanie L. Koger, of Washington and son, Ronald J. Pritts, II (Dawn), of Deemston; a sister, Merlene Polansky (John, II), of Washington; grandchildren, Makayla Koger, Cameron Koger, Alexis Koger, and Brooklynn Koger; nephew, John Polansky, III; and niece, Tara Finfrock (Mark), and his beloved dog, Ben. Ron was preceded in death by his companion, Donna M. Gump, who died October 20, 2015. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, June 6, 2023, 1-4 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, followed by a service at 4 pm with Rodney Gentry officiating. At the request of the deceased, interment will be private.
