Ronald F. “Duck” Poznick, 78, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at his home in Washington. He was born on September 23, 1946, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Frank and Mildred Urbanic Poznick. A graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, Ronald went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, Ronald built a successful career as an autobody technician, known for his skill. Ronald found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid gardener. His love for the outdoors extended to his hobbies of hunting and fishing. A passionate sports fan, Ronald rarely missed a Pittsburgh Pirates or Steelers game. Additionally, he enjoyed trips to the casino. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 902 in Houston, where he formed lasting friendships. On August 22, 1990, he married Linda Rush, who survives. They were blessed to spend 44 years together. In addition to his devoted wife, Ronald is survived by his loving children, son Glenn Conklin (Megan) and daughter, Mary Ann Durila (Mike); grandchildren Alex Conklin, Glenn Hardin (Jessica) and Dillon Durila (Kory); great-grandchildren, Emma Hardin, Glenn Hardin Jr., Wyatt Durila, Daysy Liggitt and Holly Liggitt; brother John Zylo; sister Denise Walthour (Donald);, as well as several nieces and nephews, and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alyssa Durila. Family and friends will gather at a later date to honor and celebrate Ronald's life.
