Ronald Walter Laipple, 84, of Washington, died Thursday, March 10, 2022, in his home. He was born March 12, 1937, in Bridgeport, OH, the son of the late Walter G. and Bertie Scatterday Laipple. Mr. Laipple served in the United States Air Force and was a member American Legion Post 175. Ronald was a truck driver, having worked for Suburban Bus Lines and Coen Oil. He loved John Wayne movies and playing Canasta. He kept his cars immaculately clean, always washing and waxing them. On July 26, 1955, Ronald married Dorothy Virginia Soles, who died July 16, 2021. Surviving is a son, Ronald Scott Laipple, of Washington; daughter, Barbara S. Paulish, of Monongahela; brothers, Charles E. Stalder (Elizabeth), of Martins Ferry, OH, William Laipple, of Chicago, IL; sister Brenda Burton (William), of Pickerington, OH; grandchildren, Richard Scott Laipple, and Jessica Rose Laipple; great-grandsons, Larry, and Colton Laipple; and many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his sons, Richard E. Laipple, and David William Laipple. At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
