Ronald Lindley “Ron” Koehler, 83, of Washington, passed away May 29, 2018, in UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born October 16, 1934, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Henry and Helen Post Koehler. Mr. Koehler graduated from West Alexander High School and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Columbia Gas and Wonder Bread and retired from Nickles Bakery. Mr. Koehler was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, Washington. He loved to pitch horseshoes, as long as his health permitted, and was a member of Washington County Horseshoe Club in Arden. In addition, he previously bowled in several local leagues. On June 10, 1961, he married the love of his life, Teresa Combi, who survives. They would have celebrated their 57th anniversary in June. Also surviving are a son, Barry Joseph (Susie) Koehler of Washington; a brother, Robert (Mary Jo) Koehler of Washington; a sister, Nancy Ingles of Mt. Lebanon; two step grandsons, Kip Carpenter and Brett Kinkade; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or service.
