Ronald G. Braden, 88, of Washington, died Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born December 25, 1935, in Washington, a son of the late Roy “Gordon” Braden and Lillian “Evelyn” Ruschel Braden. Mr. Braden graduated from Washington High School and Waynesburg College. He was a self-employed financial consultant. Mr. Braden was a life-long member of Church of the Covenant. He was also a 40-year member of Nemacolin Country Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, theater, and spending time in Myrtle Beach. On September 3, 1960, he married Mary Jane Wiles, who died July 28, 2021. Surviving are a son, Mark R. (Denise) Braden; a daughter, Michelle M. (Todd) Lawler; two sisters, Carol (the late Joe) Hammond and Kathleen (Butch) Nanni; four grandchildren, Alexandra and Jonathan Braden and Evelyn and Reece Lawler; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Scott Braden, and a brother, Gary Braden. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., the time of service, on Monday, April 8th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Rev. Dr. William Younger will officiate the 12:30 p.m. service. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
