Roberta Booker, 78, of Washington, died on August 19, 2022, in Washington Hospital. She was born on December 5, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Rose Hatcher Booker. A graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Roberta was retired from Bobby Brooks. A social person, who loved to get out and about, Roberta enjoyed being on Facebook going to the casino and shopping. She loved watching her favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of her greatest joys was talking to and being with her friends and family. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Booker, of Washington; a daughter, Saterica L. Booker, of Washington; five siblings, her twin brother Robert (the late Pamela) Booker, of Washington, Lloyd Booker of Washington, Donald Booker, of Fife, WA, Ernestine (the late Robert) Marsh, of Washington, and Louise (the late Benny) Price, of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Paris Booker, Raven Booker and Robert Booker II; six great grandchildren, Malachi Thomas, Skai Gibbs, Serene Thomas, Erian Booker, Ziyah Walker and Gwen Walker; a daughter-in-law, Terri Tyus Booker, of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of nieces and nephews. Deceased are her companion, Van Davison; and siblings, Arthur Booker, Jr., Harry Booker, William Booker, Leroy Booker and Velma Marie Bryant. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, with Rev. Eric Tarpley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
