Robert R. White

Robert R. White, 83, of Washington, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017, in the Washington Hospital. He was born February 8, 1934, in Washington, a son of the late Russell and Dorothy Springer White. Mr. White attended Trinity High School, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was a farmer. Mr. White was a huge Penn State football and Pirates fan.   He  also enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center, and especially enjoyed his time at the Mall, having coffee with his many friends. Mr. White was a member of Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church. On December 10, 1956, he married Virginia Crowe, who died November 23, 2008. Surviving are three sons, Robert Douglas (Jodi) White and Jeffrey Lee (Luane) White, both of Washington, and Joseph Eugene (Jennifer) White of Garden City, Missouri; four daughters, Jeannie Darlene (Jeff) Harrington, of Knob Noster, Missouri, Judy Lynn (Gary) Campbell, of Washington, Jacqueline Grace (Pat) Jones of Washington, and Dwana Jo (Mark) Mankey, of Washington; three half sisters, Wanda Lycett, Dora Morris and Yvonne "Bonnie" Fuller; 20 grandchildren, Jannah, Jacie, Justin, Kirsten, Jonathan, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Rob, Lissa, Patrick, Tricia, Troy, Jeffrey, Taylor, Tanner, Trevor, Trenton, Wesley, Chelsea and Ali; and 12 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, Logan, Liam, Sophia, Emma, Evan, Dannika, Kailee, Landon, Colton and Robert. Deceased are his stepmother, Helen White, two brothers, Ronald Lee White and Lawrence White, and two half brothers, Kenny and Keith Ward. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 9th, with Pastor G. Duane Wolfe officiating.  Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.Memorial donations may be made to the Washington Senior Citizens Center, 69 W.
