Robert Dennis Szolek

Robert Dennis Szolek, 61, of Washington, died Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Donnell House. He was born October 17, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late Robert J. Szolek and Alberta Reese Szolek. Mr. Szolek attended Trinity High School. He worked as a “jack-of-all-trades” in home renovation. Mr. Szolek was an avid sports fan, especially of the Steelers and NASCAR, and was very patriotic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting Indian artifacts, woodcarving, music, and spending time with friends and family. Surviving are three sisters, Diane (Mark) Seemiller of Rostraver, Rebecca Szolek of Washington, and Judy (Scott) Pettit of Vestaburg; an uncle, Dennis Reese; several aunts; several cousins; a special cousin, Jimmy Bebout; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased are a brother, Edward J. Szolek; a sister, Debra D. Szolek; and grandparents, Albert and Iris Reese, and Joseph and Estelle Szolek. Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 3rd, from 1 to 4 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
