Robert Duane Harris

Robert Duane Harris Sr., 82, of Washington, died Tuesday February 13, 2018, in Washington Hospital. He was born May 11, 1935, in Washington to the late Elizabeth Reed and Leroy Harris. Robert worked independently for 42 years doing blacktopping and sealing until his retirement. He enjoyed playing pool, cards and also checkers. Robert was the Thomas-Campbell checker champion.Surviving is his wife of 60 years Shelvey Davis, whom he married on August 3, 1957.Also surviving are his six children, Barbara Gay, Kim Eberhardt, Penny Medrano, Deanna Barnes, Janice Harris and Robert Harris Jr.; two brothers Jim and John Harris; thirteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren Deceased are three brothers and four sisters. At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing.
