Robert P. Dobbin, 70, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in the Donnell House, Washington. He was born April 7, 1953, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Francis J. Dobbin Sr. and Stella “Betty” Pirt Dobbin. Mr. Dobbin was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. He was a retired boiler maker, and a member of the Local 154 Boiler Maker Union. Mr. Dobbin was an avid Harley Davidson rider and proud owner. He was passionate about riding and owning Harley Davidson motorcycles. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He also loved going to the beach, the Steelers, animals, and his pets. On April 23, 2005, he married Cheryl L. McDonald, who survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, Joshua A. (Deborah) Smith and Michael W. (Lisa) Ashbaugh; a daughter, Christy (Rich) Leasure; two brothers, Francis J. (Cheryl) Dobbin Jr. and Tom (Betty) Dobbin; five grandchildren, Corbin, Delynne, Bryanna, Brayden and Bradley; and several nieces and nephews. All services are private and entrusted to William G.
