Robert Charles Boring, 73, of Washington, died November 28, 2023, in his home. He was born March 18, 1950, in Johnstown, the son of the late Winford and Pearl Boring. Robert graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and worked for the Department of Labor. He was Lutheran by faith. Robert enjoyed photography and sports cars, was an avid Penguins fan, and loved fishing and camping. He was a member of the American Legion Post 907, and Anawanna Hunting and Fishing Club. On September 6, 1975, Robert married Carol “Edna” Muhr, who died August 12, 2009. Surviving are his two sons, Shannon R. Boring, and Brandon M. (Christina) Boring; and two step-grandchildren. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
