Richard Allen Sibert

Richard Allen Sibert, 68, of Claysville, died December 19, 2021, in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born September 19, 1953, in Washington, a son of the late Mahlon McAllister Sibert and Emma Alice Marie McDonough Sibert. Mr. Sibert graduated from McGuffey High School. A disabled veteran, he served in the Army from February 14, 1972, until his honorable discharge on March 14, 1980, with a rank of sergeant. He earned a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Driver and Mechanic Badge with bar. Mr. Sibert formerly coached baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Sibert was a past commander of American Legion Hunt-Kennedy Post 639. Surviving are three sons, Jason (Tracey) Kempton, Justin Sibert, and Bryon (Corrine) Sibert; a daughter, Jeannifer (Jeff) Bustle, and their mother, Fern Sibert; three brothers, Robert (Evelyn) Sibert, Geno (Paula) Sibert and Randy Sibert; a sister, Bonnie (James) Droboj; ten grandchildren, Paige, Jarred, Jake, Jessica, Asa, Laura, Julia, Eli, Michelle, and Jeffrey; and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Willow, and Josiah; several nieces and nephews; and his companion of five years, Jane McClay, and her daughter, Delaina, who was like a daughter to him. Deceased is a brother, Larry Sibert. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m., the time of service, Monday, December 27th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Military rites will be accorded at the funeral home by American Legion Hunt-Kennedy Post 639. Private burial will take place in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
