Rebecca Deems, 68, of Washington, passed away early Friday morning, September 2, 2022. She was an amazing wife to Richard Deems, with whom she recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Mrs. Deems was born in Lost Creek, West Virginia, a daughter of Marge and Luther Curry. She attended Canon-McMillan High School, graduating in 1972. Rebecca then attended Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Clown College, where she became “Binky the Clown” and continued to spread fun and laughter to kids for over 40 years. For 37 years, she worked as an admitting clerk at The Washington Hospital. Becky will be remembered for her contagious laughter, her grand sense of humor, her kindness and love toward others, and selflessness. Her affability and good nature never went unnoticed. She was an amazing mother, wife, and woman. Rebecca is survived by husband, Richard Deems; children, Daniel and Katie; granddaughter, Layla; brother, Lynn Curry; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday, September 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday, September 9th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the time of service, in William G.
