Randy Michael Whipkey

Randy Michael Whipkey, 57 of Washington, died Friday, January 26, 2018, following an eight-year battle with cancer, at his home. He was born September 20, 1960 in Washington, the son of the late Robert Whipkey and Mary Fletcher Whipkey. Randy was a graduate of Trinity High School and worked at International Paper for 25 years. He loved spending time with his family, doing home improvements, working of cars. He adored his daughters and grandchildren. On June 20, 1987, he married Loria Burnfield, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Lindsay (Nick) O’Brien of Erie and Stacy Whipkey of Reston, VA; three brothers, Doc Whipkey of West Alexander, Chuck (Laura) Whipkey of Washington, Reed (Debbie) Whipkey of Washington; a sister, Judy (Rick) Clemens of Washington; two grandchildren, Tristan and Freyja O’Brien. Deceased are two brothers, John Whipkey and Edwin Whipkey. A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 6 to 7 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
