Phyllis Ann Sargent, 87, of Washington, died Monday, September 20, 2021, in her residence in Strabane Woods. She was born January 9, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of the late Ira DeWalt Wiles and Marye Alice Marra Wiles. Mrs. Sargent graduated from Trinity High School in 1952, and was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. On March 12, 1953, she married Vernon Sargent, who died March 6, 2009. Surviving are a son Chip (Nancy) Sargent of Cranberry Township; two daughters, Rebecca (Charlie) Brookman and Kimberly (Donald) Sickles, both of Washington; five grandchildren, Courtney (Paul) Kukovich, Brandi (Craig) Buken, Amanda (Randall) Allen, Andrew (Amanda) Sickles, and Ryan Sargent; seven great-grandchildren, Natalie and Ashley Kukovich, Sawyer Buken, Amelia and Adelaide Allen, Sophia and Stella Sickles; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Ronald Wiles, and a sister, Mary Jane Braden. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, on Friday, September 24th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
