Phyllis Ester Phillips, 82, of Avella, died on Monday, December 27, 2021, in the Washington Hospital. She was born on November 10, 1939, in Washington, a daughter of the late Rocco John Banchi and Philomena Corella Mancina. Phyllis was a graduate of Trinity High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed camping and trips to the casino. On October 21, 1988, she married Floyd Phillips, who survives. Phyllis is also survived by three sons, Scott (Alice) Rice, Don (Lisa) Rice, and Jason (Lisa) Rice; two sisters, Pam Colbert and Henrietta Mull; six grandchildren, Jarred Rice, Joseph Daugherty, Melanie (Casey Underwood) Daugherty, Matt Emph, Mike Emph, and Megan Larson; four great grandchildren, Jaxson, Denver, Austyn, and Carter; two nephews, Jacob Phillips and Jesse Phillips; and a niece, Jenny Hickman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Emph; and a granddaughter, Hope Emph. Family and friends are welcome on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 2-4 PM and 6-7 PM, the time of service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Evangelist Mike Phillips, officiating. Interment will be private.
