Phyllis Czmiel Bell, 79 of Washington, died Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was born August 13, 1938 in Washington, the daughter of the late Paul Anthony Czmiel and Mary Spara Czmiel. Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Trinity High School and worked at Consol Energy for more that 20 years as an executive secretary to the Vice President of Operations. She was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church. She loved polka music and dancing, organizing and working church functions at Holy Trinity, including the fish fry and pierogi making. She enjoyed traveling to many places, but loved the beach. She enjoyed watching sports especially the Steelers. Her greatest joy was time spent with her children, grandchildren and her dog “Buddy”. She was named “Spirit of Beauty” in her senior year of High School and was always actively involved in organizing her class reunions. On May 6, 1961, she married Robert A. Bell, who died September 8, 2012. Surviving are two sons, Brian (Michele) Bell of Washington and Barre (Lisa) Bell of Indiana, PA; two grandchildren, Philip and Ryan Bell; several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Robert Czmiel. Friends will be received Monday, July 30, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity National Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mark Swoger as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity National Catholic Cemetery.
