Phillip K. “Oofy” Shook, 62, of Washington, died January 26, 2022, in his home. He was born July 6, 1959, in Washington, a son of the late John Shook and Margaret “Jane” Newman Shook. Mr. Shook attended Washington High School and worked for many, many years in maintenance at Washington & Jefferson College. He loved his family first and foremost, and especially loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. In addition, he also loved animals, fishing, and nature rides, and enjoyed having a good time and going green with his friends. Mr. Shook was known for always helping others and being able to fix most anything. In fact, his friends would always call him first if they needed anything fixed. On July 19, 1980, he married Michele P. Griffin, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Lee (Matt) DiNardo of Cokeburg; siblings, Shirley (the late Charlie) Kollar of Tarpon Springs, Florida and John (Debbie) Shook of Sacramento, California; two grandchildren, Jadyn Michele Reed and Maddox Alexander DiNardo; many nieces and nephews, including, Sherry Claus, who was his special caregiver; his best friend, Bill Jordan of East Washington; and his dog, Lucky.
