Phillip Ewing

Phillip Ewing, 81, of Washington, died January 1, 2024, in the Washington Hospital. He was born July 3, 1942, in Washington, the son of the late Clarence and Esther Barney Ewing. A 1960 graduate of Trinity High School, he was part owner of KEM Construction, worked as a machinist for Star Mould, which became Star Dynamics, and then Washington Tool, from where he retired. Phil enjoyed camping and traveling and loved spending time with his grandchildren. On June 20, 1983, Phil married Goldie McMasters, who died March 19, 2018. Surviving are daughters Deborah Holley (Doug), and Pamela Kurtz (Stephen); a sister, Lois Ewing Podwils (the late Gary); grandchildren, Mitchell Smith (Angela), Michael Holley, Phillip Kurtz, Courtney Kurtz Crump (Jonathan); and several great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Friday, January 5, 2024, 5-8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held Saturday, January 6th, at 10 am. Entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens. Memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pennsylvania, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
