Paula J. Jones

Paula J. Jones, 71, of Washington, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, in her home, The Grove at Washington. She was born January 9, 1954, in Washington, a daughter of the late Thomas M. Hildreth and Sarah Jane McFall Hildreth. Paula was a graduate of Trinity High School and Penn Commercial, where she received business and cosmetology degrees. She was a self-employed and retired beautician of the Washington area. Paula was an active member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She was a loving and caring single mom, who enjoyed going dancing with her friends. Surviving are a son, Joshua (fiancé Gretchen Bence) Jones; a sister, Judy A. Leichty; two nieces, Jackie E. (Chad) Newman and Julie A. Havanis; great-aunt and great-uncle Linda and Bob Burgh; several great-nieces and great-nephews in Washington, Pennsylvania; and cousins in Georgia. Deceased is a brother, Charles “Hildy” Hildreth. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025, with the Rev. Cynthia Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fourth Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid, 1000 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
