Paul F. Stark, 74 of Washington, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, peacefully in his home with his wife of 53 years, who was also his caregiver during his lengthy illness, by his side. He was born September 5, 1944 in Pittsburgh, the oldest son of the late Adolf and Catherine Yochum Stark. On October 30, 1965, he married Sandra Dann, together they resided and raised their children in Hickory and just recently relocated to Washington. Paul was a life member of the Mt. Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Department. One of his greatest enjoyments was his antique cars, which he enjoyed with the Three Rivers Ford Model “A” Club and the Shay Owners Club International. He was a 41-year member of the Millstone Rod and Gun Club of Belltown, PA, where he enjoyed family summer vacations. He leaves behind his beloved and faithful dog, Baxter. Surviving in addition to his wife are his four children, Catherine (John) Taggart, Steven (Beth) Stark both of Hickory, Rosemary (Theodore) Poznak of Aliquippa and Michael (Megan) Stark of Roswell, GA; seven grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon (Erica) Taggart, Lucas (Kylie) and Julie Stark, Jacob Poznak, Emma and Benjamin Stark; seven siblings, Janet Oliver, Carol (Paul) Meese, Joan Stark, Patricia Stark, George (Gail) Stark, Edward (Michele) Stark and Linda Stark. He was looking forward to the birth of his first great grandchild, expected in January. There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father John Lynam as celebrant.
