Patricia A. “Pat” Ferrari, 87, of Washington, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Strabane Woods, Washington. Born on January 22, 1937, in Canonsburg, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Durish and Susan Mikus Durish. She is also preceded in death by her stepmother, Kathryn Durish Basim. Pat was a 1954 graduate of Chartiers High School. A dedicated homemaker, she also volunteered at Washington Hospital, the Brownson House and the Pony League World Series. Pat enjoyed gardening and was an enthusiastic fan of all sports, especially the Pirates. Above all, she cherished time with her family and never missed her grandchildren’s special moments, consistently attending their sporting events and other important activities. On July 9, 1960, she married the love of her life, Mike Ferrari, and together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on September 27, 2016. She is survived by her four children, Michele (Howie) Millick, Kevin (Lisa) Ferrari, Michael (Stephanie) Ferrari and Lori (Ed) Diesel; 10 grandchildren, Karissa (Michael) Quinlan, Kaylyn Millick, Alec Ferrari, Alyson Ferrari, Makenzie (Michael) Wall, Jared Embert, Taylor (Evan) Dusa, Codey Krueger, Jared Diesel and Makenzi (Tyler) Keenan; eight great-grandchildren, Avett, Ellis and Cohen Quinlan, Charlie Mae Wall, Eleanor, Jack and Max Dusa and Declan Diesel; two sisters, Donna (the late Richard) Andreolli and Bunny (Ralph) Murray; a sister-in-law, Rose Ferrari, and extended family. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a brother, Anthony “Sonny” Durish. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024, and 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Sue Petritis officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
