On August 8, 2022, Patricia Ann Cox Jackson Gray, of Amity, died in her sleep at home, after years of declining health. Born December 9, 1942, to Arthur and Dorothy Wood Cox (both deceased). Patty was a lifelong resident of Amity. After graduation from Trinity High School and Penn Commercial, she started her career at General Cryogenics, which spanned over 50 years. Widowed twice, Patty would lose her first husband James Jackson in 1970. She went on and married John Gray who preceded her in death in 2007. Those remembering her today include two children, Shelly Jackson Miller, and James (Becky) Jackson, Jr; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Ed (Glenda) Cox; a sister, Peg Crawford; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Ted Cox. When able, Patty enjoyed bingo, slot machines and attending fundraisers with her friends. As time passed, and those things became more difficult to do, she relied on the companionship of her dog, Sassy, that she lost two years ago. For that, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to your local animal rescue shelter. https://www.washingtonpashelter.org/donate/ https://www.angelridgeanimalrescue.org/ways-to-give/#in-lieu-of-flowers Family and friends will gather Friday, August 12, 2022, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
