Parker David Muhleman

Parker David Muhleman, 14, of Washington, died on May 10, 2021, due to complications of hypoplastic left heart syndrome, in UPMC Children’s Hospital. He was born on July 6, 2006, in Pittsburgh, the son of David L. Muhleman, Jr. and Stephanie Tomaszewski Muhleman. Parker was a student in the ninth grade at Washington High School, where he was on the High Honor Roll, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and was twice named the Washington School District Student of the month. He was also the recipient of the American Legion Award. A young man who loved all things baseball, Parker played for Washington Youth Baseball, and Washington High School Baseball, and was an honorary member of Washington & Jefferson College Baseball, as part of their Team Impact mentor program. Parker loved the Washington Wild Things, and he and his family were fixtures at most of their games. He was also an exceptional golfer, having played for Fort Cherry Golf, and participated in the Southwest Pennsylvania Junior Golf Tour. Parker was a member of Mended Little Hearts of Southwest Pennsylvania. In addition to his love for baseball and golf, Parker had an extensive hat collection, of which he was very proud. Parker was an inspiration to many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are an uncle, Ryan A. (fiancée, Crystal Sienkel) Muhleman, of Washington; an aunt, Christan Newsom, of Pittsburgh; his paternal grandmother, Sandra Muhleman (Donald) Teter (the late David L. Muhleman), of Morgantown; his maternal Grandfather, Ken Sherbondy (the late Christine Sherbondy), of Greenville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased are his paternal great grandparents, Charles and Virginia Muhleman, John Milkovich, and Anna Mary Milkovich Czandankiewicz; and his maternal great grandparents, Chester and Jessie Ziecina; and an aunt, Alissa Ann Muhleman. Friends will be received on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Monday, May 17, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA. Services will be private, and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mended Little Hearts of Southwest Pennsylvania, 1904 Highland Ave., Greensburg, PA 15601; or the Parker Muhleman Athletic Fund, C/O the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301. The family will be establishing a fund in Parker’s memory, to assist with local youth athletics in our area.
