Parilee G. Edwards, 96, of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, in her home. She was born June 28, 1928, in Avella, a daughter of the late Thomas Glenn and Catherine Harmon Glenn. Parilee had worked as an inspector at Brockway Glass for 20 years. She had also been employed by Federal Paper and RCA. She was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, where she was a deaconess and served on the usher board and flower committee. Parilee enjoyed fishing, going to casinos and watching the news on television. She was an avid Steelers fan. On May 3, 1947, she married her husband, Glenn W. Edwards, who passed away on April 25, 2010. Surviving are a son, Glenn Edwards Jr.; two daughters, Yvonne Kelley and Susan Edwards; two sisters, Lillian Crawford and Audrey Wheeler; six grandchildren, Scott Kelley, Tiffany Martin, Glenn Edwards III, Danielle (Abraham) Akihmon, Charlie Edwards and Devin Edwards; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Kevin Edwards; sisters Leeode Roddy, Ella Mae Pettijohn, Carrie Long, Louise Taylor, Josie Washington; adopted sister June Peatross; brothers Clyde Glenn, Thomas Glenn Jr., Robert Hunter, Chandu; and grandchild Shawna Burgess. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024. Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
