Olive Pearl "Cookie" Temple

Olive Pearl “Cookie" Temple, 89 of Washington, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at Evergreen Assisted Living. She was born May 25, 1929 in McMechen, WV, the daughter of the late Harry W. And Nellie Wiseman Gump. She was the last of her immediate family. Olive worked at Tygart Valley/Brockway Glass Plant for 33 years. After retirement, she volunteered for hospice at the Washington County Health Center, Meals on Wheels and Humbert Lane Health Center, where she became employed as Activity Assistant for 6 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and traveling, both short and long trips to scenic views of lakes, mountain resorts and many casinos with her husband, Donald W. Temple Sr. On May 5, 2001, in Clark County, Nevada, she married Donald W. Temple Sr. who survives. Deceased in addition to her parents are a sister, Mary Crow, and an infant brother. At the request of the deceased all arrangement are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
