Norma Jean Gibson

Norma Jean Gibson, 84 of Washington, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born July 17, 1933 in New Castle, the daughter of the late John Edward Rush and Gladys Marie McCune Rush. Norma Jean graduated from high school in New Castle and worked as a Medical Assistant for 30 years. She loved reading, spending time with family and animals especially her dogs. She volunteered in Emergency Room at the Washington Hospital. Norma Jean was Presbyterian by faith. She was married to John Pavkovich. She was then married to Joe Schwingel, who passed away in 1996. On May 17, 1999, she married Robert F. Gibson, who died March 5, 2007. Surviving are two sons, John H. Pavkovich of Sun City, AZ and Jeffrey S. (Lora) Pavkovich of Avella; two brothers, Edward and Arthur Rush; six grandchildren, Alexandria Pavkovich, Samantha Ramsey, Desiray Spavelko, Charlotte, Teddy and Michael Pavkovich. Deceased is a sister, Clara May Rush. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
