Nora L. Ketzell

Nora L. Ketzell, of Washington, died December 12, 2023, in The Washington Hospital. She was born August 9, 1941, in Seremban, Malaysia, as Liew Kek Ying, a daughter of the late Liew Chee Kong and Chong Yoke Ying. Mrs. Ketzell was a homemaker and member of Washington Alliance Church. She enjoyed painting, knitting, quilting and flower arranging. On June 9, 1986, she married Robert N. Ketzell, who died January 24, 2023. Surviving are three sons, Din Zakaria (Nancy Koh-Zakaria), John Zakaria (Julie), and Zaidi Zakaria (Lynna); a stepson, Daniel Ketzell; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Derek, Joshua, Alyssa, Sarah, Xaiver, and Julius Zakaria; siblings, Liew Kuat Chu (Lee Kim Ling), Anna Liew (Mark Poh), Liew Ket Choy (Yee Lai Ching), Liew Kok Leong (Vivian Tang), and Liew Ket Chin; and nieces and nephews, Lawrence , Ady, Lewis, Doreen and Grant Lee, Shawn, Ryan, Michelle, Chris and Stacy Liew, Pauline, Paula and Terence Poh. Friends will be received from 3 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 19th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Washington Alliance Church, 246 Sanitarium Road, Washington, with Pastor Brian Greenleaf officiating.
