Naoe Eileen White Hartzog, 98, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born February 13, 1926, in Tokyo, Japan. Eileen married William White in Japan after World War II and came to the United States in February 1952. She was employed at Wolfdale PX/Town and Country Market for 45 years. Many people in town knew her as the “PX Lady.” Eileen was always ready to help anyone. She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Robert (Carol) White of Washington, Alice (Roy) Harris of Rocky Point, North Carolina and Laura Stuhlmueller of Washington; grandchildren William, Erin, Cris, Justin, Daniel, Melissa and Casey; and great-grandchildren Myranda, Kourtney, Sydney, Jorden, Bailey, Colby, Mason, Isla and Cecilia. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, William Newton White (1948-1957) and Russell Hartzog (1964-1986); sons William and Frank; and daughter Nancy. Family and friends will be received from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, with a service following immediately, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Private interment will be held on Mother’s Day in Speer Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
