Nancy Wilson, 81, of Washington, died January 10, 2022, in Canonsburg Hospital. She was born September 6, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late George Pavkovich and Rose Pozgai Pavkovich. Ms. Wilson worked at Peppino’s Deli and Catering Service, where she worked for many years with her brother-in-law, Bob Nicolella, and sister, Barb. She retired from Humbert Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a dietary technician. Ms. Wilson loved to cook and watch The Learning Channel, and enjoyed country music, bargain shopping, and doting on her nieces and nephews. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are her very special sisters and best friends, Rose Ross and Barbara Nicolella, both of Washington; the apples of her eyes who she treated as her own children that she never had, nephews, Tony and Robbie Nicolella, both of Washington; nieces, Mary Jo Nicolella Verardi of Fox Chapel and Barbie Nicolella of Peters Township; God-daughter, Kara Hart of Florida; nephew, Rob (Rose) Ross of Washington; nieces, Penny Hlipala of Florida and Cathy Pavkovich of Washington; along with many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Steve, Nick, Joe, John and Frank Pavkovich, and five sisters, Mary Strawn, Ann Abajace, Helen Irey, Sophie Knox, and Katherine Brownlee. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of a memorial service, Monday, January 17th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father Michael Peck officiating. Burial will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
