Nadine Elizabeth Pleil, 92, died Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg. She was born on February 17, 1932, in Birmingham, England, a daughter of Mehendra Ghose and Maud Elmore. Nadine worked as a secretary for Soil Conservation with the Department of Agriculture in Washington. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and South America, reading a wide variety of literature, writing her memoirs and autobiography, and solving crosswords. On October 5, 1952, she married Augusto Pleil, who died on April 12, 2013. Nadine is survived by four sons, Amadeus (Charlotte) Pleil of Stratford, Canada, Alvin Pleil of St. Augustine, Fla., Raymond Pleil of Charlotte, N.C., and Franklin (Nicolle) Pleil of Eighty Four; four daughters, Helga (Ted) Chapman, of Ambridge, Vijaya (Bill) Milam of Steinhatchee, Fla., Andrea (Kerry) DuBac of Carnegie and Else (Robert) Trautwein, of New Ross, Ind.; a brother, Vijay Moonje of Ottawa, Canada; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, June 24, 2024, in Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, 1350 Park Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Michael Roach officiating.
