Michael Dennis Slider, Sr.

Michael Dennis Slider, Jr., 56, of Washington, died on Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was born on September 1, 1963, in Washington, a son of Olive Thomas, of South Carolina, and the late McKinley Slider. Mr. Slider was a member of the United States Marine Corps, and the United States Army Reserves. Michael had worked for Dean’s Water, as a truck driver, and was a school bus driver. He was a member of the Slovak Club, the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion, and the VFW 927. An avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan, he enjoyed collecting and working on purple Ford trucks, and spending time with his dog, Gidget, but above all, he loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Michael Dennis (Nikki) Slider II, of Minerva, OH, and Jacob Slider, of Illinois; three daughters, Karli Slider, of West Palm Beach, FL, April Slider, of Waynesburg, and Mary Slider, of Rogers, OH; a brother, Jason (Alecia) Slider, of Avella; a sister, Pamela (Jeff) Skirble, of Washington; fourteen grandchildren; two nephews, Josh and Steven; his fiancee, Crystal Greene; and his stepmother, Nancy Slider. At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
