Michael James Bradley, 72, of Washington, died Sunday, December 21, 2019, in The Washington Hospital. He was born August 27, 1947, in Savannah, Illinois, a son of the late Robert Bradley and Jacquelin Thompson Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a veteran of the Army, serving for 16 years. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2), NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm (Unit), Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Good Conduct Medal (3 awards). Mr. Bradley earned a Bachelor of Art’s degree in business from Northeastern University. He loved to shop and was an avid football fan, especially of Notre Dame and the Steelers. On May 18, 1974, he married Nancy Reed, who survives. Also surviving are several brothers and sisters. At the request of the deceased, services were private.
