Michael Bieda, 91, of Washington, died on Friday, November 15, 2019, in Transitions Healthcare, Washington. He was born on April 23, 1928, in Washington, a son of the late Michael and Josephine Ptak Bieda. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Bieda worked as a steel worker for Molycorp, and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. Michael enjoyed polka music, country and western shows, movies on television, going to the casino, and playing cards. On June 6, 1953, he married Mary Jane Crothers, who died on June 1, 2010. Surviving are two sons, Michael (Cindy Bingham) Bieda, of Venetia, and Donald (Buffie) Bieda, of Cranberry Township; a daughter, Paula (the late Bill) Britt, of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Caitlyn, Michaela, Brooke, Lindsey, Tiffany, Mikelyn, and Paul; a great granddaughter, Vivien; as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Bruce Scott Bieda; three brothers, Joe, John, and Carl; and four sisters, Mary, Caroline, Vi, and Rose. At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
