Matilda A. Myers

Matilda A. Myers, 95, of Washington, died August 11, 2021, at Premier Washington Health Center. She was born August 28, 1925, in Washington, the daughter of the late Charles D. and Mary V. Marland Myers. She was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School and attended Washington Seminary 1948-1949. She retired from Met Life Insurance Company as an assistant manager. Matilda was a member of the Church of the Covenant. She loved playing organ in local orchestra and played violin. She loved doing ceramics and painting them, loved dachshund dogs and all animals. Left to cherish her memory is brother, Richard M. (Wilma V.) Myers of Washington; niece, Anne Marie (Jim) Myers Insana, of Pensacola, FL; nephew, Richard E. (Lisa) Myers, of Mars, PA; and great-nephews, Richard J. Myers, and Corbin E. Myers. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330, in Matilda’s memory. All services are private.
