Mary Lou Whipkey, 89, of Washington, died February 13, 2022, in Canonsburg Hospital. She was born September 19, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of the late Glenn Curtis Smith and Goldie Mae Noble Smith. Mrs. Whipkey worked as an nurses’ aid at The Washington Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending cash bashes, and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and loved her dogs. Surviving are two sons, Joseph (Vicki) Miller and Kenneth Miller, both of Washington; a daughter, Sally Ann Whipkey of Ohio; a sister, May Brock of Washington; four grandchildren, Karen, Jimmy, Jason, and Victor; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers, George, John, Boyd, Kenneth, and Glenn Smith; two sisters, Dorothy Crow and Nannie Bell; and a grandson, Joshua Miller. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 17th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
