Mary Lou Tennant

March 4, 1943 — March 13, 2023

Mary Lou Tennant, 80, of Washington, died on March 13, 2023, in her home. She was born on March 4, 1943, in Hendersonville, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth West Barton. A graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, she was retired from CVS Pharmacy, where she worked as a cashier. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, Mary Lou enjoyed game shows, bingo, playing games on her Kindle, and creating works of art in her adult coloring books. Most of all, she loved the time she spent with family, and caring for them. She was the last of her immediate family. On November 9, 1965, she married the love of her life, James L. Tennant, Sr., who survives. Also surviving are a son, James L. (Tracey) Tennant, Jr., of Cincinnati, OH; a daughter, Brenda (Warren, Jr.) Oliver, of Virginia; grandchildren, Samantha (Edward) Baca, Melodie Oliver, Anthony Oliver, Joshua (Laura) Kiger, and Danielle (Jason) Ashbach; and great grandchildren, Astraea Baca, Jude Kiger and Lily Kiger. All services were private, and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
