Mary Jane Braden, 85, of Washington, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021. She was born June 9, 1936, in Washington, a daughter of the late DeWalt Wiles and Marye Marra Wiles. A graduate of Trinity High School, Mrs. Braden earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education at Slippery Rock University, and taught at North Franklin Elementary School and WEEP (Washington Elementary Education Park). She was also a real estate agent. Mrs. Braden played bridge, loved to travel, was a member of Daughters of Current Events club, and served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Church of the Covenant. On September 3, 1960, she married Ronald G. Braden, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Mark (Denise) Braden of Chantilly, Virginia, Scott Braden of Washington, and Michelle (Todd) Lawler of Gibsonia; a sister, Phyllis Sargent of Washington; and four grandchildren, Alexandra, Jonathan, Evelyn and Reece; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Ronald Wiles. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, August 3rd, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Dr. Daniel B. Merry officiating. Interment in Washington Cemetery will be private.
