Mary E. Hughey

Mary E. Hughey, 53, of Fredericktown, died August 13, 2021, in her home. She was born November 23, 1967, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Charles Borger and Patricia Yeagle. Mary graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School and was an in-home healthcare aide. She attended Ten Mile Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. On September 10, 2016, Mary married Danny William Hughey, who died on August 24, 2019. Surviving are son, Joseph (Michelle) Kennedy of Fredericktown; daughter, Megan Renee Grudi of Washington; stepson, Danny William Hughey Jr., of Avella; brothers, Ed Borger, of St. Paul, NE, Paul Borger, of Richmond, VA, and John (Shelly) Borger, of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Raylan Grudi, and Madilynne Kennedy; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great- nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Marissa Washington. Friends will be received Thursday, August 19, 2021, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. A private interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
